Peptide Therapy

Peptides are short-chain amino acids found naturally in the body. Amino acids are the building blocks of protein and these particular amino acids are designed to augment specific functions within the human body.

Several of these peptides, Sermorelin, Ipamorelin, and CJC-1295 stimulate the body’s release of growth hormone. This maintains the appropriate pulsatile release of growth hormone, as well as the negative feedback loop that prevents the levels from becoming too high. The result is optimal release.

PT-141

PT-141, also known as Bremelanotide, is a peptide that improves sexual arousal and erectile dysfunction. It works by a different mechanism than drugs like Viagra, which act directly on blood vessels. PT-141 acts directly on the central nervous system. For this reason, it works in arousal disorders, in both men and women, that stem from causes other than reduced blood flow. In addition, a study of men with ED who did not respond to Viagra found that roughly one-third experienced adequate erection for sexual intercourse with PT-141.

With proper dosing PT-141 acts within 30 -45 minutes of taking the injection, and effects may be felt up to 12 hours from the time of administration and have been known to last for up to 3 days, diminishing each day.

Sermorelin/Ipamorelin Therapy

Sermorelin is not a hormone, but rather a Growth Hormone Releasing Factor. IT IS NOT HGH; Sermorelin works by promoting the secretion of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) from the pituitary gland.

WHY USE SERMORELIN VS. HGH?  Sermorelin stimulates the pituitary to increase growth hormone production and secretion naturally. This not only allows growth hormone to be released in a normal pulsatile fashion, but it also means the pituitary gland retains regulation of growth hormone production. All of this increases safety and minimizes side effects.

Human growth hormone is released in pulses and so a single HGH blood test is not considered reliable. HGH is rapidly converted to IGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor), and this is considered a better indicator of Growth Hormone production. The ideal range of IGF-1 is 200-300.

It’s important to optimize all of your other hormones before looking at improving your IGF-1/Growth Hormone.
People with levels lower than the ideal range, who are suffering from fatigue, poor exercise capacity, weakness, decreased cognitive function, abdominal obesity, and insulin resistance, may benefit from Sermorelin injections.
ABSOLUTE CONTRAINDICATIONS: Malignancies, intracranial hypertension, and proliferative retinopathy.
